Meet the Salt City Team
Ben Sharer is the proprietor of Salt City Custom Framing and will most likely be the guy that you talk to on the phone, see face to face, and will be the guy who builds your frame from the ground up. Ben is a firefighter by trade and is growing Salt City Custom Framing because firefighting is absolutely not a young man’s job. As a part of his 5 year plan, he hopes to make Salt City Custom Framing his full time gig and retire from the fire service. Ben is known for being animated and boisterous. He’s not the kind of guy who sneaks up on you. But don’t let his big stature, four blue collar vocabulary, and big personality fool you…. Ben has an eye for frame design. Don’t be afraid to ask for his help if you’re having a hard time coming up with ideas, or if you need a change of pace to give you some inspiration.
Chelsea Sharer has unmatched style and creativity. Although she isn’t knee deep in the business, she is our go to when we just can’t find a frame that is completely perfect. Chelsea thinks outside the box when designing frames, and is our resident master at taking little risks that elicit big smiles.
Chelsea sees color very well and finds unique and striking ways to use mats, spacers, and papers to make an image pop.
Rosey is our shop dog. We’ve had her since she was a puppy, and as you can see, she is our most senior team member now. She is14 years old, and is still kicking along just as well as a lot of those young pups at the dog park. She can’t hear well anymore, but she is always underfoot when frames are being built. If you come and visit us at the frame shop, you’ll most likely meet Rose. She is a Basset Hound/Blue Heeler mix. She was supposed to be a purebred Basset Hound, but the breeder didn’t build a fence that could keep the neighborhood heeler out. We picked her up before her owners could take her to the pound and she’s been the best dog a man could hope for.
